How to set up XtremeHD on a Smart TV

Samsung, LG and other smart TVs can run XtremeHD straight from their own app store, with no stick or box. Pick one of the players below, install it from your TV's store, and add your XtremeHD login in a few minutes.

  • About 10 minutes

Before you start

You need the TV connected to the internet, access to its app store (LG Content Store, Samsung Apps or Google Play on Android TV) and your XtremeHD login. Some TV apps ask you to use a phone or computer for one step, so keep one handy.

  • Your XtremeHD login from WhatsApp. No subscription yet? Pick a plan or ask us on WhatsApp.
  • A steady connection: about 10 Mbps for Full HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.
Apps

Best IPTV apps for Smart TVs

Don't use IPTV Smarters Pro on a Smart TV. The Smart TV version of IPTV Smarters is no longer supported and doesn't work reliably. Use one of the apps below.
Paid apps run better on Smart TVs. They are more stable on TV hardware and get regular updates. XOTT is a good free option to start with if you'd rather not pay.
Got an Android TV?. Install the free Downloader app from Google Play and follow our Fire TV Stick guide or the Android guide to add any player.
About the paid apps. IBO Player Pro, Hot Player and Bob Player all have a free trial, so you can add your playlist and test properly before paying the app's developer.

How to log in on your Smart TV

Your login is in the WhatsApp message we sent when we confirmed your order. Find your app below and follow its steps.

→

XOTT

  1. Open XOTT and choose to add a playlist or log in.
  2. Enter the login from your XtremeHD message: username, password and server URL.
  3. Save, and your channels load. If XOTT asks for something you don't have, message us and we send it.

IBO Player Pro, Hot Player and Bob Player (MAC address and M3U link)

  1. Open the app on your device. It shows your MAC address, and IBO also shows a Device Key.
  2. On your phone or computer, open the app's playlist page: IBO Player Pro · Bob Player · Hot Player.
  3. Type the MAC address, plus the Device Key for IBO, exactly as shown on screen.
  4. Choose Add Playlist, then M3U, and paste the M3U link from your XtremeHD message.
  5. Give the playlist any name and press Save.
  6. Restart the app on the device and your channels appear.
Hot Player has two separate pages, so don't mix them up: Upload is where you paste your M3U link (free during the trial), and Activation is where you pay the app's developer later if you keep it.

Lost your username, password or M3U link? Message us and we resend it.

Troubleshooting

XtremeHD problems on Smart TV

I can't find the app in my TV's store

Stores differ by brand, model year and region. Search for the exact app name; if it isn't there, try the next one on the list, or message us with your TV model and we tell you which works.

The app asks for a MAC address or a device key

That's normal for IBO Player Pro, Bob Player and Hot Player. The TV shows both on screen, and you type them into the app's playlist page on your phone or computer along with your M3U link.

The paid app stopped working when the trial ended

Paid players stop at the end of their free trial until you activate them on the developer's website. That fee goes to the app's developer, not to XtremeHD, and your subscription carries on as normal.

The picture stutters on my TV

A TV's Wi-Fi is often weaker than a phone's. Try an Ethernet cable, move the router closer, or pick the FHD version of a channel instead of the 4K one.

Still stuck? Message us on WhatsApp with your device, the app you're using and a photo of the error, and we sort it with you.

Questions

XtremeHD on Smart TV: common questions

Can I use IPTV Smarters Pro on a Samsung or LG TV?

Not any more. The Smart TV version of IPTV Smarters is unsupported, so use XOTT, IBO Player Pro, Hot Player or Bob Player from your TV's app store.

Are paid IPTV apps worth it on a Smart TV?

Usually, yes. Paid players such as IBO Player Pro, Hot Player and Bob Player are updated more often and run more smoothly on TV hardware. Each has a free trial, and the one-off fee goes to the app's developer, not to XtremeHD.

What if my TV runs Android TV or Google TV?

Then you have more choice. Install the free Downloader app from Google Play and follow our Fire TV Stick or Android guide to add any player, including the free ones.
